For employers
How do I check a certificate?
Scan the QR code at the foot of the certificate, or enter the certificate number and the six-character verification code on the check page. The result comes straight from the register.
What does “Revoked” mean?
eMsingi has withdrawn the certificate — for example because it was issued in error. Don’t accept it. If a corrected certificate exists, the result links to it.
The details on the paper don’t match the result.
Trust the result, not the paper. Then tell us — a mismatch can mean the paper was altered.
Can we keep proof that we checked?
Yes. On any result, choose “Save a verification receipt”. It records what the register said, with a reference number and the time.
We need to check many certificates.
Use Check a list of certificates for up to 200 at a time, or ask eMsingi for an API key.
Can our HR system check certificates automatically?
Yes. Each result is also available as JSON at the same address with /api/certificates/ in front of the token. Ask eMsingi for details.
For learners
I’ve lost my certificate.
Sign in with the email address you enrolled with. You can download it again and copy your share link.
My name is spelled wrong.
Sign in, open the certificate and choose “Request a correction”. eMsingi checks it and issues a corrected certificate with a new number.
Can I keep my certificate in a digital wallet?
Yes. Sign in, open the certificate and choose “Get the digital badge”. It’s an Open Badge 3.0 that wallets and HR systems can verify.
Who can see my details?
Anyone with your certificate’s link sees your name, the course and the dates — never your email. See the privacy notice.
